XenCenter YYYY.x.x is not yet supported for use with Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 CU1 in production environments. To manage your Citrix Hypervisor 8.2 CU1 production environment, use XenCenter 8.2.7. For more information, see the XenCenter 8.2.7 documentation.

You can install XenCenter 8.2.7 and XenCenter YYYY.x.x on the same system. Installing XenCenter YYYY.x.x does not overwrite your XenCenter 8.2.7 installation.

XenServer requires a Citrix License Server to run with a Premium Edition or Standard Edition license. For information about how to install and run Citrix Licensing, see Citrix Product Documentation.

If you are using XenServer to run your Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or Citrix DaaS workloads, you must have a Premium Edition license. You can get a license from https://xenserver.com/buy. Existing customers can request to participate in our promotion and receive up to 10,000 XenServer Premium Edition socket licenses for free. Learn more.

To use XenServer Trial Edition, you do not require a license or a Citrix License Server. For more information, see XenServer Licensing.

After purchasing support for XenServer you are provided with the .LIC license access code. Install this license access code on a Windows server running the Citrix License Server software.
