A progress window displaying the upgrade status appears. During the upgrade, NetScaler Console does the following:

    1. Disables the selected Autoscale group.
    2. Ensures scale-in and scale-out actions aren’t triggered.
    3. Updates the Autoscale group with the new NetScaler image.

After the upgrade process completes, the updated Autoscale group is operational.

Edit an Autoscale group configuration

To edit an Autoscale group configuration, do the following:

  1. Go to Infrastructure > Public Cloud > Autoscale Group.

  2. Select the Autoscale group that you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit.

You can edit only the following Autoscale group parameters:

  • Maximum and minimum limits of the threshold parameters

  • Minimum and maximum instance values

  • Drain connection period value

  • Cooldown period value

  • Watch duration value

Enable or disable an Autoscale group

To enable or disable an Autoscale group, do the following:

  1. Select the Autoscale group that you want to enable or disable.
  2. In the Select Action list, choose Enable or Disable.

When you disable an Autoscale group, the scale-in or scale-out actions are disabled.

Shutdown or boot-up an Autoscale group

To shutdown or boot-up an Autoscale group, do the following:

  1. Select the Autoscale group that you want to shutdown or boot-up.
  2. In the Select Action list, choose Shutdown or Boot-up.

When you shutdown an Autoscale group, it no longer receives the application traffic.

View and troubleshoot NetScaler clusters

In NetScaler Console, you can view and troubleshoot the NetScaler clusters that are part of an Autoscale group. To view the NetScaler clusters, do the following:

  1. Go to Infrastructure > Public Cloud > Autoscale Group.

  2. Select the Autoscale group for which you want to view the clusters.

  3. Click View Clusters.

You can do the following operations on the selected NetScaler cluster:

  • Retry – Use this option when the cluster creation fails. This option appears only when the autoscaling fails. You can view the status and error message for the failed cluster.

  • Clean Up – This option reverts failed operation. Use this option if the errors are not fixed after you retry the cluster creation.

  • Recreate – This option deletes the existing cluster and replaces it with a new cluster. And, the application configurations are transferred to the new NetScaler cluster.

    Important

This action impacts the application traffic because of the replaced NetScaler cluster.

Delete an Autoscale group

To delete an Autoscale group configuration, do the following:

  2. Select the Autoscale group that you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.
