Server errors

In some scenarios, the web server responds with status codes when it is unable to handle the requests. Some of the reasons for server errors are invalid requests, temporary overloading, or server maintenance. These errors are displayed with error codes which define various scenarios of the errors. For example,

  • 502 Bad Gateway: The server is acting as a gateway or proxy and received an invalid response from the upstream server.

  • 503 Service Unavailable: The server is unavailable. The servers might be overloaded or down for maintenance.

  • 504 Gateway Time-out: The server is acting as a gateway or proxy and did not receive a timely response from the server.

These errors can be temporary conditions, but sometimes you have to implement a corrective measure on the webservers to make the application up and available.

Citrix ADM enables you to view these failures and make decisions about corrective actions to overcome the issues, so that all the client requests are served and the applications are always available.
