Release Notes for Citrix ADM 13.0-82.41 Release

This release notes document describes the enhancements and changes, fixed and known issues that exist for the Citrix ADM release Build 13.0-82.41.

Notes

  • This release notes document does not include security related fixes. For a list of security related fixes and advisories, see the Citrix security bulletin.

What's New

The enhancements and changes that are available in Build 13.0-82.41.

Management and Monitoring

  • ADM checks for available software images on an ADC instance

When you use ADM to upgrade an ADC instance, ADM checks for software images on the instance. If an image you want to upload is available, ADM uses the available image to upgrade the instance.

User Interface

  • IP addresses color code changes dynamically to indicate instance status

In the ADM GUI, under Network > Instances > Citrix ADC, in the IP addresses column, the color codes for IP addresses marks change dynamically to indicate instance status. For example, if a particular primary instance is in up state, the color code for the circular P mark for the corresponding IP address changes to green. Also, you can hover the circular mark to check the instance status. Previously, the color codes for IP addresses were static: blue for primary and grey for secondary.

Fixed Issues

The issues that are addressed in Build 13.0-82.41.

Analytics

  • When you enable analytics on a virtual server that has a special character in its name, it fails. With this fix, this issue is resolved.

Management and Monitoring

  • In ADM, when you restore an ADC instance, it doesn't reinstate the GeoDB files.

    [ NSHELP-27673 ]
  • While registering the ADM agent, the default password must be changed. If the new password contains a special character such as open and/or close bracket, a syntax error occurs. As a result, you cannot log on to ADM agent.

    [ NSHELP-27638 ]
  • When you edit event details of an ADC high-availability pair using ADM API, you receive duplicate values as a response.

    [ NSHELP-27590 ]
  • In ADM, when you deploy a configuration job on a CPX instance, it fails with "SSH authentication error" message.

    [ NSHELP-27521 ]
  • When you restart an ADM server, NTP synchronization fails in ADM. This issue occurs because the NTP servers are defined with the domain name.

    [ NSHELP-27370 ]
  • ADC instance upgrade through ADM might fail or take a longer than the usual duration.

    [ NSHELP-27360 ]
  • When you restore ADM, it resets the password of the nsrecover user to default password.

    [ NSHELP-27219 ]
  • In an ADM high-availability setup, ADM configuration is lost after you upgrade ADM. This happens if the HA pair goes into a split-brain condition just before the upgrade.

    [ NSHELP-27202 ]
  • When you schedule an audit template by selecting the Send diff report only when diff is found option, ADM fails to send the diff report even though the diff exists between configurations.

    [ NSHELP-26807 ]
  • When you change the time on an NTP server, the `lmgrd` process stops. As a result, the ADM GUI displays licensed virtual servers as unlicensed. With this fix, if the `lmgrd` process is stopped, ADM restarts the process after 10 minutes.

    [ NSHELP-26739 ]
  • When you run the `du` and `df` commands to check ADM disk usage, sometimes, the `df` command output displays more disk space than the `du' command.

    [ NSHELP-26351 ]
  • If you rename a scheduled configuration job and delete it from the ADM GUI, the ADM server does not remove this job.

    [ NSADM-73577 ]
  • ADM does not communicate with ADC BLX instances through SSH, and some ADC features such as Config Audit and Config Jobs might not run on BLX as expected.

    [ NSADM-68985 ]
  • When you deploy ADC configurations using StyleBook, ADC sessions do not refresh as needed. And, the configuration pack fails because of expired sessions. As a result, an error message appears: "Session expired or killed. Please log in again."

    [ NSADM-67581 ]

Miscellaneous

  • After you upgrade an ADM HA pair, the upgrade image files are not removed from the secondary ADM.

    [ NSADM-70547 ]

StyleBooks

  • In ADM, the default StyleBooks take longer time to load than expected.

    [ NSHELP-27369 ]

User Interface

  • Citrix ADM login fails when an external user enters slash ( / ) in the user name field. For example, the user name is specified in the "Domain/user name" format.

    [ NSHELP-27108 ]

Known Issues

The issues that exist in release 13.0-82.41.

Miscellaneous

  • In Application Dashboard, the application details page displays current day's data as next day's data. This issue occurs when you select an interval greater than one day. And, it is observed only under App score and Issue sections.

    [ NSADM-73507 ]

Orchestration

  • When you create a member on OpenStack Lbaas using ADM orchestration, the member creation fails on OpenStack intermittently. This issue happens when a proxy request from ADM to orchestration services times out after 30 seconds.

With this fix, the request timeout for orchestration APIs has increased to 120 seconds.

    [ NSHELP-21490 ]
  • If you are using OpenStack Queens for LBaas workflow, the Load Balancing virtual server is not bound to Content Switching virtual server. This issue impacts the traffic.
    Workaround:
    1. Create a pool with Load Balancing virtual server.
    2. Create a listener with the pool ID.
If you already have a listener, update the listener with the pool ID.
