After you have mounted your appliance in a rack, connected the cables, and connected the power cord, you are ready to configure the appliance. Use the LCD keypad for initial configuration. Then, use a browser to connect to the graphical user interface (GUI) and perform a quick installation, which takes about 20 minutes. For simple inline mode, no further configuration is necessary. Other deployment modes require additional configuration.
Inline mode is not only the easiest mode to configure, but also provides the best performance. Use it unless your network requires a different mode. In some situations, an inline deployment also requires additional configuration.
