This release of Federated Authentication Service (FAS) includes the following new features. For information about bug fixes, see Fixed issues.
FAS address list no longer required at the VDA
The 2511 release of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops supports a new FAS ticket format, known as FAS V2 ticketing.
When the FAS servers and VDAs in your deployment are running Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2511 or above, there is no longer a need for the FAS address list in the VDA’s registry.

Support for central Always-On Tracing collection
With always-on tracing, FAS logs its activity to the filesystem. This feature helps in troubleshooting and potentially eliminates the need to reproduce an incident that has occurred.
This release allows the always-on tracing to be automatically sent to a central server in your deployment.
