Uninstall the License Server

If you want to uninstall License Server from your server completely or have issues with the current version and prefer a clean installation, you can choose to uninstall it. You have the flexibility to use either the GUI or the Windows command line for the uninstallation process.

Note

  • If you uninstall the License Server, then the Citrix telemetry data is deleted. You must report the telemetry data for compliance with Citrix before you uninstall the License Server version 11.17.2 build 45000 or later. For more information about the manual upload of Citrix telemetry data, see Reporting options.

  • The Myfiles folder is kept even after successful uninstallation in the file path C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles. To make sure that there is no interruption on the Citrix products.

Uninstall the License Server using the GUI

To uninstall License Server, do the following steps:

  1. In the Search on the taskbar, enter Control Panel and select it from the results.
  2. Select Programs > Programs and Features.
  3. Drag (or right-click) on Citrix Licensing and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change. The Citrix Licensing wizard appears.
  4. Click Remove and then click Yes when prompted for Are you sure you want to remove?.
  5. Click Finish. The License Server has been successfully removed.

Uninstall the License Server using the Windows command line

To uninstall License Server, run the following command in the Windows command line:

CitrixLicensing.exe /quiet /uninstall /1 uninstall.log

To re-install, download License Server from Downloads and Install.
