  • Checkin and checkout for files from Network Shares Connector: Users can checkout a file from Network Shares Connector in ShareFile. This prevents file conflicts and overrides by other users who might attempt to work on the same file using the native repository. Checkout places a lock on the file to prevent other users from opening the same file.
  • Create MS Office documents: Users can create MS Office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) in their on-premises folders when their account is configured with Office Online Server.

  • Bug Fixes: This release contains fixes to improve reliability and performance. This includes improved error messaging for checked out files and a fix for newly published managed paths in SharePoint.

What’s new in 5.4.1

  • Support for SSO to customer-managed storage zone connectors in Citrix Workspace: Support has been added to allow Single Sign-On (SSO) to customer-managed storage zone connectors for Workspace users. Workspace users will not be challenged with an authentication prompt while accessing their Network Shares or SharePoint folders through Citrix Files. These changes are server-side only. Client changes are pending.
  • Publish user activity events for customer-managed storage zone connectors: Support has been added to publish events to the ShareFile Event Pipeline for file upload, download, rename, and share operations on Network Share and SharePoint connectors. These events can be consumed downstream to generate the Recent Files list in ShareFile clients or to run risk detection analysis in Citrix Analytics Service (CAS).
  • SharePoint Connector Improvements: Support has been added to display Creator and Uploaded Time info for folders present on SharePoint Connector.
  • Security fixes: This release contains fixes for security and reliability.
  • Support has been added for *cloud/ *cloudburrito accounts for workspace environment.

  • Direct to File Support for On-prem - Office mobile app users can now use the direct to file integration to use Microsoft apps to open and save files stored in ShareFile On-prem zones.
  • Heartbeat Reliability Improvements - Improvements to the reliability of the heartbeat.aspx and resolve issues where a local config service becomes unreachable due to authentication issues, but the heartbeat incorrect indicates an Online status. Now, connectivity will be checked prior to reporting the status.
  • WOPI Server fixes - The WOPI server utilized for file previews will now utilize proxy settings configured on the storage zones controller.
  • Security Improvements - Miscellaneous improvements related to performance and reliability factors.
