Citrix recommends that you install this version of HDX RealTime Optimization Pack.
- Upgrading from version 1.8 to this version:
You must install HDX RealTime Connector as a new installation (uninstall 1.8 version of the HDX RealTime Connector before installing this version), but you can install or upgrade HDX RealTime Media Engine.
- Upgrading from version 2.0.x and 2.1.x to this version:
You do not need to uninstall version 2.0.x or 2.1.x and can just upgrade HDX RealTime Connector and HDX RealTime Media Engine to this version.

After downloading, unzip the package and place the following installation files on an available network drive or on a local device, such as a USB flash drive.
- HDX_RealTime_Media_Engine_2.2_for_Windows.msi - client running Receiver
- HDX_RealTime_Connector_2.2_for_Skype_for_Business - server-side (and virtual desktop) - choose the 32-bit or 64-bit version to match your operating system.

Now you can make HDX RealTime available to your users. Before installing the HDX RealTime Media Engine or HDX RealTime Connector, be sure your environment meets the minimum software hardware and software requirements.
