Connectors for Layering

Jan 11, 2018

When creating Layers in a Azure environment, you need a Connector Configuration to define the hypervisor location from which you will:

  • Import the OS image when creating your OS Layer.
  • Deploy a VM for the Layer and Install the application software or the Layer.

It is strongly recommended that you use the hypervisor where the App Layering appliance is installed. If you decide to create Layers on a hypervisor other than the one where the appliance is installed, you can use NFS instead of a Azure Connector Configuration, and manually copy the file to your hypervisor and back to file share once the software for the Layer is installed.
