Install Citrix Enterprise Browser

Note:

Citrix Enterprise Browser can only be installed along with Citrix Workspace app for Windows and Mac version 2508.10 or earlier.

Step 1: Check your current Citrix Workspace app version

First, verify your Citrix Workspace app version to determine the appropriate installation method:

  1. If you have Citrix Workspace app version 2508.10 or earlier with Citrix Enterprise Browser included - continue to step 2.
  2. If you have a version 2511 and later - jump to step 3.

Step 2: Verify auto-update settings

Check your auto-update configuration:

  1. If auto-update is enabled and you’ve previously used Citrix Enterprise Browser:
    • The latest version installs automatically through the auto-update process.
  2. If auto-update is disabled:
    • Apps continue using the older Citrix Enterprise Browser version.
    • To get the latest version, you must upgrade it manually.

Important note

First-time users: Citrix Enterprise Browser does not update automatically if it has never been used before, even with auto-update enabled.

Step 3: Install Citrix Enterprise Browser on newer Citrix Workspace app versions

If your device has Citrix Workspace app for Windows or Mac version 2511 or later, follow these steps:

Begin by installing Citrix Enterprise Browser

The Citrix Workspace app for Windows and Mac versions 2511 or later don’t include Citrix Enterprise Browser. You must first install a compatible version.

  1. Install Citrix Workspace app version 2508.10 or earlier (which includes Citrix Enterprise Browser) from Citrix Downloads page.

  2. To get the latest version of Citrix Workspace app for Windows or Mac, upgrade the Citrix Workspace app that was installed in step 1 without uninstalling it. Web and SaaS apps continue to launch in Citrix Enterprise Browser that is installed in step 1.

After you complete these steps, the latest Citrix Enterprise Browser is installed and ready for use.
