About Citrix Workspace app 2402 LTSR for Windows
This documentation describes the features and configuration of Citrix Workspace app 2402 LTSR for Windows. This version is the latest Long Term Service Release (LTSR) of Citrix Workspace app for Windows and is relevant only for LTSR customers. The documentation for the Current Release (CR) of Citrix Workspace app for Windows is available at Citrix Workspace app for Windows. Note:
- If you have enabled auto-update on your Citrix Workspace app and have opted for the LTSR program, Citrix Workspace app 2203.1 LTSR for Windows automatically updates to Citrix Workspace app 2402 LTSR for Windows.
- If you have enabled auto-update on your Citrix Workspace app and have opted for the CR program, Citrix Workspace app CR version automatically updates to Citrix Workspace app 2311.1 for Windows.

New Add-ons and Packaging
For Citrix Workspace app for 2402 LTSR, you can install Microsoft Teams Optimization Plugin, Citrix Enterprise Browser, and App protection from the Add-ons page during the installation of Citrix Workspace app. You can manage these add-ons independently from the Citrix Workspace app. For example, you can update or uninstall them independent of the Citrix Workspace app.
Browser Content Redirection (BCR)
For Citrix Workspace app 2402 LTSR version:
- BCR client components are not installed by default with the Citrix Workspace app Installer UI or from command line.
- For new Citrix Workspace app command line installations, BCR Client components with other required components have to be specified via the
ADDLOCALcommand line parameter. For more information, see Install one or more of the specific components. - For new Citrix Workspace app installer UI, BCR Client components can be installed, post {page.cwa} installation, executing the
BCR_Client.msilocated in the%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Citrix\Citrix Workspace 2402directory. - If the BCR components were previously installed, they are upgraded during the installation process.
Microsoft Teams Optimization Behavior Change
With the release of Citrix Workspace app 2402 LTSR, users now have the option to install the new Microsoft Teams VDI Plugin during the Citrix Workspace app installation, directly from the Add-on(s) screen.
