General known issues

  • The License Server version 11.16.3.0 build 28000 does not support concurrent licensing when using XenApp 6.5 or earlier. Use the Citrix License Server 11.16.3 build 29000.

  • When you access the Citrix Licensing Manager from the Start menu for the first time after installation, an error message might appear on Firefox and Chrome browsers. [LIC-195]

  • The Citrix Licensing Manager and the License Administration Console do not differentiate between users and groups. For example, you can choose to add a user but add a group instead. [LIC-438]

  • The Windows 2016 Start menu, might not list the Citrix Licensing Manager and the License Administration Console. Workaround: Use these URLs to access the consoles:

https://licenseservername:8083 for the Citrix Licensing Manager

https://licenseservername:8082 for the License Administration Console [LIC-506]

  • When registering your License Server with Citrix Cloud, the Citrix Licensing Manager UI might stick and display a spinning wheel. To avoid this issue, before registering your License Server with Citrix Cloud, ensure that you have the Digicert Global Root CA certificates installed in the system. These certificates are updated in the Windows update. If they’re not installed, manually download and install the certificates before starting the Citrix Cloud registration. [LIC-1510]

  • The list of inventory changes might not display after installing licenses. Licenses are installed successfully. [LIC-2204]

License file issues

  • The License Server ignores license files that have multiple lines referencing HOSTNAME=. Licenses in these files cannot be checked out. This issue is caused when you download licenses associated to different License Server host names in to the same license file. The License Administration Console displays the following error message: “…Error List Returned…Unknown Host.”

To resolve this issue, download again separate license files for each Citrix product tied to different License Server names.
