This release note describes known issues, and fixed issues applicable to Citrix NetScaler SD-WAN software release 9.3.6 for the SD-WAN Standard Edition, WANOP, Enterprise Edition appliances, and SD-WAN Center.

For information about the previous release versions, see the NetScaler SD-WAN documentation on

Fixed Issues

SDWANHELP-502 (SR# 78294734): When you upgrade the NetScaler SD-WAN software release 9.3 version 2 to release 10 version 1, and push configuration to the branch sites from the MCN appliance, the virtual WAN (internet) services become inactive.

SDWANHELP-441 (SR# 75397192): When an internet link is configured for a Virtual Path, the Ping and Traceroute diagnostic tools do not function properly.

SDWANHELP-435 (SR# 711992): In the SD-WAN GUI, the transmit mode settings show incorrect values for egress traffic flow.

SDWANHELP-184 (SR# 78095846): The SD-WAN 4000 and 5000 WANOP appliance GUI does not restart after a crash. Restart the appliance to recover it.

NSSDW 13879: The character length for Custom Option in the DHCP Option Set configuration is increased from 32 to 128.

SDWAN (SR #76576440/76984038): In NetScaler SD-WAN WANOP release 9.3 version 4, the appliance crashes while creating an L2 loop in INLINE deployment mode when both the LAN and WAN packets are received on the same interface.

NSSDW 1510: A new NetScaler SD-WAN WANOP enhancement to prevent connection reset in a specific asymmetry where the SYN-ACK of the initial handshake is bypassed by both WANOP appliances in a TCP connection (The SYN for the same connection is seen by both appliances) is introduced.

NSSDW-11999 (SR #0714091/489191): In NetScaler SD-WAN WANOP release 9.3 version 4, when traffic processing is disabled on the SD-WAN 4000 appliance, the traffic is blocked, because the traffic session information is maintained by the appliance through NATPCBs.

Known Issues

Issue ID 702711: Backing up of configuration files from SD-WAN WANOP 7.4 or pre 9.3 releases and restoring it on SD-WAN WANOP 9.3 and above releases is not supported.

Issue ID 706510: The SD-WAN Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition appliances report incorrect NetFlow data. The output interface number in the NetFlow record is inaccurate. You can ignore NetFlow data related to the output interface.

Issue ID 708986: If you switch the LTE modem firmware or restart the LTE modem, the LTE modem might crash or become inactive. This can cause the 210-SE LTE appliance to become unresponsive.

Workaround: Power cycle the 210-SE LTE appliance to recover it.

Issue ID 708995: Virtual paths become inactive when the LTE modem is rebooted after SIM card reset or firmware change.

Workaround: Reboot the 210-SE LTE appliance.
