Citrix SD-WAN was formerly known as NetScaler SD-WAN before release 10 version 1.
Citrix SD-WAN simplifies branch networking with a reliable and high-performance workspace experience that helps accessing SaaS applications, virtual desktops, or traditional data centers.
Citrix SD-WAN is available in four editions:
- Citrix SD-WAN Advanced Edition (AE)
- Citrix SD-WAN Premium Edition (PE)
- Citrix SD-WAN Standard Edition (Virtual WAN/SE)
- Citrix SD-WAN Optimization Edition (WANOP)
Citrix SD-WAN Orchestrator
Citrix SD-WAN Orchestrator is a cloud hosted, multitenant management SaaS offering. Citrix partners use the Orchestrator service to offer managed SD-WAN services to their customers.
SD-WAN Orchestrator for On-premises
SD-WAN Orchestrator for On-premises is a self-hosted, management service available as separate instance for each customer. It provides a single-pane of glass management platform that enables you to configure, monitor, and analyze all the SD-WAN appliances on your SD-WAN network.
SD-WAN Orchestrator for On-premises is recommended for customers with strong regulatory requirements around data sovereignty and data privacy.
Citrix SD-WAN Center
Citrix SD-WAN Center is a centralized management system. It enables you to configure, monitor, and analyze all the Citrix SD-WAN appliances on your network. It reduces the configuration errors and the time taken to deploy SD-WAN appliances. It also provides visibility into the SD-WAN network and application performance by allowing you to generate reports and statistics across multiple Citrix SD-WAN appliances.
Citrix SD-WAN WANOP
The Citrix SD-WAN WAN Optimization edition (WANOP) provides WAN Optimization capability. It supports application acceleration, data reduction, and protocol control to optimize applications across the WAN. Optionally, it can include virtual Windows Server to simplify branch infrastructure and mobile PC plug-in capability.
