Workspace Environment Management™ policy settings
The Workspace Environment Management (WEM) section includes policy settings that help you manage how WEM agents operate.
(WEM service only) Agent proxy configuration
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Specify a proxy server that WEM agents use to communicate with Citrix Cloud. Format: http://<FQDN or IP address>:<port number>
, for example http://10.108.125.51:8080.
(On-premises WEM only) Agent service port
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Specify the port that WEM agents use to connect to the WEM infrastructure server. The default port is 8286 and corresponds to the AgentPort
command-line argument.
(On-premises WEM only) Cached data synchronization port
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
(Applicable to WEM 1912 and later) Specify the port that WEM agents use to synchronize their local cache with the WEM infrastructure server. The default prt is 8288 and corresponds to the CachedDataSyncPort
command-line argument.
(WEM service only) Citrix Cloud Connectors
Specify Citrix Cloud Connector machines that WEM agents connect to. To ensure high availability, deploy at least two Cloud Connectors in each resource location. Make sure that Cloud Connector and agent machines are in the same AD domain.
Custom settings for basic deployment
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Customize agent settings used for basic deployments. For more information about available settings, see the Workspace Environment Management documentation.
(WEM service only) Discover Citrix Cloud Connectors from CVAD service
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Enable the WEM agents to automatically discover Cloud Connectors from the Citrix DaaS deployment when Cloud Connectors aren’t configured. Upon successful discovery, the agents connect to the corresponding Cloud Connector machines.
Important: This setting doesn’t apply if Cloud Connectors were configured during agent installation or if the Citrix Cloud Connectors policy setting is already enabled.
(On-premises WEM only) Infrastructure server
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Specify the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or IP address of the WEM infrastructure server. WEM agents connect to this server to retrieve configurations, update their local cache, and report monitoring data.
Override Agent Deployment Type
Currently available only for DaaS deployments.
Override the default WEM agent deployment type. Choose one of the following options:
-
Cloud service – Connects agents to the WEM service in Citrix Cloud, providing full WEM capabilities.
-
On-premises – Connects agents to an on-premises WEM deployment, providing full WEM capabilities.
-
Basic deployment – Runs WEM in a single-machine mode with limited functionality, without connecting to a WEM infrastructure.
-
Disabled – Disables all WEM functions on machines where agents are installed.
