  • In the Citrix Licensing installation wizard for the German version, the UI text Speicherort is truncated. For the French version, the text Emplacement is truncated. This issue does not impact the intended action. [LIC-5994]
  • When uninstalling the License Server with the Windows Installer file (*.msi), you might notice an incomplete cleanup of certain folders in C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing. As a solution, backup the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles and manually delete the remaining folders. [LIC-6010]
  • When using the Citrix Licensing Manager to generate the support bundle, you might not be able to generate it if the size of the licensing directory is too large. This issue mostly happens with users reporting telemetry data with Citrix by manual upload procedure. As a workaround, manually upload the License Server and Citrix products data elements that are stored in c:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\resource\usage and c:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\resource\cis bundles\ul_usage with Citrix and then delete these files. For more information about the manual upload procedure, see Citrix Licensing Telemetry. After deleting these files, attempt to generate and download the support bundle again. [LIC-6014]

  • When you install a license with a future start date, you might notice the inventory data that displayed in the Citrix Licensing Manager is incorrect. For example, the number of licenses that displayed in the Citrix Licensing Manager can be incorrect. This issue is due to the display problem in the Citrix Licensing Manager and doesn’t impact licenses installed or in-use. As a workaround, use the lmstat command to view the complete License Server inventory. [LIC-5565]

  • In a cross-domain environment, the Citrix Licensing Manager and POSH cmdlet support only two-way trust to add a user.

With the external trust(one-way trust), the Citrix Licensing Manager, and the POSH cmdlet displays the following error message Active Directory account resolution failed.

We recommend that you run the CtxManageUserAndGroup.exe from the ‘Citrix\Licensing\LS\resource’ location with the following parameters: - Command to add a user: CtxManageUserAndGroup.exe –useradd “domain\username” -Role “admin/user” - Command to add a group: CtxManageUserAndGroup.exe –useradd “domain\username” –Role “adminGroup/userGroup

For example, if domain1 has an outgoing trust to domain2, then a user from domain2 can authenticate in domain1. Then, add a user to License Server using the executable only. [LIC-3268]

License file issues

  • The License Server ignores license files that have multiple lines referencing HOSTNAME=. Licenses in these files cannot be checked out. This issue is caused when you download licenses associated to different License Server host names in to the same license file.

To resolve this issue, download again separate license files for each Citrix product tied to different License Server names.

  • Licenses with expiry date incorrectly formatted as D-MMM-YYYY appear as permanent in Studio. Use the Citrix Licensing Manager to display the correct license expiration dates. [LIC-2556]
