Linux Virtual Delivery Agent

Fixed issues

The initial release of the Linux Virtual Delivery Agent 2402 LTSR includes the following fixed issues:

  • If you leave the CTX_XDL_DESKTOP _ENVIRONMENT variable unspecified, there is no way to know which desktop is to be used in the subsequent process. As a result, desktop-related environment variables are not configured and apps or plug-ins that depend on these variables might not work as expected. [LNXVDA-16212]

  • With HDX 3D Pro enabled, when you extend a session to multiple monitors, a black screen might appear and the session might exit unexpectedly. [LNXVDA-16653]

  • An upgrade of a VDA using the tcsh shell might revert the desktop environment to GNOME. [LNXVDA-16747]

  • For certain applications, printing might fail if you don’t specify a printer. [CVADHELP-24164]

  • You might get an error similar to the following if you specify more than one DNS IP address for the environment variable CTX_EASYINSTALL_DNS:

Checking CTX_EASYINSTALL_DNS... [ERROR]Address <DNS IP address 1> <DNS IP address 2> is not reachable. Please input a valid address.

The issue occurs on the Linux VDA 2311. [LNXVDA-16720]

  • The first session opened on a VDA that is just started might show a gray screen. [CVADHELP-24524]

  • Reconnection to a session might result in session termination. The primary cause could be a policy evaluation timeout or other issues during session reconnection. When a session is terminated, the Desktop Viewer window disappears and you are forcibly logged out of the session. [CVADHELP-24598]

  • Starting an app, such as Google Chrome and Visual Studio Code, within a desktop session might take longer than expected. [CVADHELP-24760]

  • Sessions are laggy when data transport takes place over TCP in certain network conditions, such as high-latency networks.[CVADHELP-24995]
