What’s new

What’s new in 2511

This release includes the following new features and enhancements. It also addresses several issues that help to improve overall performance and stability.

Support for concurrent session hibernation in virtual machines

Citrix Profile Management now supports concurrent session hibernation for virtual machines. This enhancement ensures that user profiles remain consistent when a user hibernates one virtual desktop session and starts another. Profile Management tracks VHDX disk usage across sessions to prevent conflicts, preserving all applications, documents, and settings when the hibernated session resumes.

This capability improves data integrity and session continuity when using features such as Profile Container, Outlook Search Index Roaming, Accelerate Folder Mirroring, and OneDrive Container, providing a seamless and reliable experience in concurrent session environments.

For more information, see Enable concurrent session support for machine hibernation.

FSLogix App Masking rules migration to App Access Control

You can now migrate FSLogix App Masking rules directly into Citrix Profile Management App Access Control. This new capability automates the migration process, making it faster and easier to bring your existing rules into Citrix Profile Management with minimal manual effort.

For more information, see Migrate rule sets from FSLogix.

Enhancements to automatic configuration for Office 365 optimization

You can now enable automatic configuration to detect Office 365 and automatically add the required Office 365 folders to the Directories to synchronize and Folders to mirror lists. This enhancement simplifies setup, reduces the risk of misconfiguration, and helps ensure consistent authentication. For more information, see Use automatic configuration.
