When you configure Citrix Receiver Updates from Citrix Receiver for Windows, follow the methods below in the order of priority:
Under the Computer Configuration node, go to Administrative Templates > Citrix Components > Citrix Receiver > AutoUpdate.
Select the Set the Delay in Checking for Update policy. This policy allows you to stage the rollout for a period.
Select Enabled, and from the Delay Group drop-down, select one of the following options:
Click Apply and OK to save the Policy.
In the AutoUpdate Templates section, select the Enable or Disable AutoUpdate policy.
When you select Disabled, you are not notified of the available updates. This also hides the Auto Update option from the Advanced Preferences sheet.
Select Enabled and set the values as required:
Click Apply and OK to save the policy.
To configure Citrix Receiver Updates settings as an administrator using command-line settings during Citrix Receiver installation:
For example: CitrixReceiver.exe /AutoUpdateCheck=auto /AutoUpdateStream=Current /DeferUpdateCount=-1 /AURolloutPriority=fast
For example: CitrixReceiver.exe /AutoUpdateCheck=auto
Editing Citrix Receiver Updates settings using the Group Policy Object administrative template overrides the settings applied during Citrix Receiver for Windows installation for all users.
Citrix Receiver Updates can be configured after installing Citrix Receiver for Windows.
To use the command line:
Open Windows Command Prompt and change the directory to where CitrixReceiverUpdater.exe is located. Typically, CitrixReceiverUpdater.exe is located at CitrixReceiverInstallLocation\Citrix\Ica Client\Receiver.
You can also set the Citrix Receiver Updates command-line policy using this binary.

You can hide all or part of the Advanced Preferences sheet available from the Citrix Receiver icon in the notification area. For more information, see Hiding the Advanced Preferences sheet.
An individual user can override the Citrix Receiver Updates setting using the Advanced Preferences dialog. This is a per-user configuration and the settings apply only to the current user.
Right-click Citrix Receiver for Windows from the notification area.
Select Advanced Preferences and click Auto Update.
The Citrix Receiver Updates dialog appears.
Select one of the following options:
Use a text editor to open the web.config file, which is typically located in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Citrix\Roaming directory.
Locate the user account element in the file (Store is the account name of your deployment)
For example: <account id=... name="Store">
Before the </account> tag, navigate to the properties of that user account:
Add the auto-update tag after <clear /> tag.

This indicates that Citrix Receiver for Windows detects when an update is available.
This indicates that Citrix Receiver for Windows must accept updates only for LTSR.
This indicates the number of counts you can defer the notifications. The Remind me later option is displayed in the count of the set value.
This indicates the period that you can set for the rollout.
