Known issues

The following issues are known to exist in this release.

  • Subscription propagation between members of a StoreFront Server group fails when TLS 1.0 is disabled in Windows and Windows Server is using .NET 4.5 Framework server. By default, .NET 4.5 Framework uses TLS 1.0 only. A workaround for this issue is to upgrade .NET Framework on the server to 4.7 or later (which use TLS 1.2 by default). [STF-2413]

  • Server group joining does not work if TLS 1.0 is disabled on a server running .NET Framework 4.6.1 or earlier. To work around this issue, upgrade to .NET 4.6.2 Framework or higher. [STF-687]

  • There is a known third-party issue with smart card authentication and Microsoft Edge. To work around this issue, use Internet Explorer. [DNA-47809]

  • Workspace control reconnects to only one app session instead of all the apps in the workspace. This issue is seen if using Chrome to access the Receiver for Web site. To work around this issue, click Connect on each disconnected app. [DNA-25140, DNA-22561]

  • If a time-out exception occurs during a StoreFront upgrade from the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops installer, then before restarting the upgrade:
  • Uninstalling StoreFront on Windows Server 2019 can result in the PowerShell console (Powershell.exe) no longer running on the server. The symptoms are that Powershell.exe opens briefly then vanishes immediately and cannot be used. Powershell_ISE.exe is unaffected and can still be used to run Powershell scripts.

    This issue occurs with all StoreFront versions but only when StoreFront is uninstalled on Windows Server 2019.

    Workaround: to restore Powershell.exe to working order on Windows Server 2019 after StoreFront uninstallation, add the following line:

    <section name="uri" type="System.Configuration.UriSection, System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" />

    to the configuration section of the the following files:

    C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Config\machine.config

    For example:

     <configuration>
         <configSections>
             <section name="uri" type="System.Configuration.UriSection, System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089" />
