Support for InfoScale installation and upgrade using yum

By default, the InfoScale product installer uses rpm commands for installation or upgrade. Administrators can now use yum commands with the installer to install or upgrade to InfoScale 8.0 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Enterprise Linux.

Yum is a command-line RPM management tool that you can use to install, update, remove, and manage InfoScale RPMs. It provides the ability to resolve dependencies during installation, updates, and uninstallation of the InfoScale RPMs. It also lets you manage the RPMs from the repositories installed on the system or from among the InfoScale rpm RPMs.

For details, refer to the Veritas InfoScale Installation Guide.
