Secure File System

InfoScale offers the ability to configure secure file systems (SecureFS). SecureFS provides a recovery mechanism in case of a data deletion or corruption event, or a ransomware attack scenario.

Key highlights:

  • You can configure SecureFS while creating a new file system or for an existing file system as well.
  • SecureFS uses volume-level snapshots for recovery from corruption, and non-modifiable storage checkpoints on Write Once Read Many (WORM) enabled file system for protection from ransomware.
  • You can enable or disable SecureFS features (snapshots, checkpoints, policies) on a file system simultaneously.
  • You can fine tune the SecureFS configuration using WORM policies and schedules based on your requirements.

Refer to the Storage Foundation Administrator’s Guide or the Storage Foundation Cluster File System High Availability Administrator’s Guide for more details about SecureFS.
