Device password

You can change the locally saved device password in the Scout Console for all devices:

  • Click Options > Base device configuration > Security > Local security settings > Device password

Important:

By using this feature you change the device password of all devices managed by this Scout Server.

The password is required to access the Scout Agent for Windows configuration dialog (systray icon Scout Agent > Configuration).

Moreover, the device password ensures that the client can only be managed by a Scout Server provided with the same password.
