Flex Credit consumption and reporting

Flex Credits are consumed monthly based on the Flex services defined in your Persona section. Other services do not consume Flex Credits. A monthly Flex Credit consumption report is available to help you understand your overall usage patterns.

Consumption calculations by service

  • Citrix DaaS Flex (Managed Capacity Personas): This applies to Citrix managed capacity personas (for example, Task worker (heavy, medium), Knowledge worker, Power worker, Custom personas) and associated add-ons, such as Disks for persistent desktops. Consumption is based on the number of configured unique users for each Persona. A configured Persona consumes Flex Credits even if it is never actively used. Catalog creations and capacity increases are prorated for the month, while capacity reductions and deletions are not. Flex Credits are not consumed if a catalog creation fails.

    Example: 100 Task worker users × 25 Flex Credits = 2,500 Flex Credits deducted monthly.

    Note:

    To maintain efficiency, these instances might hibernate during periods of inactivity. Typical resume time in Azure is less than five minutes.

  • Citrix DaaS Cloud/Local (Bring Your Own Infrastructure): This applies to customers using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or Citrix DaaS with a bring-your-own-infrastructure deployment model. Consumption is calculated per unique user, regardless of how many services they access. Even if a single user uses both Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix DaaS, they only count as one user. There is no proration for partial use in a month.

    Example: 1,000 Users × 10 Flex Credits = 10,000 Flex Credits deducted monthly.

  • Citrix Secure Access with Chrome Enterprise (CSA with CE): Consumption is calculated strictly per unique user. There is no proration for partial use in a month.

    Note:

    Flex Credits are deducted monthly from your total aggregate licensed units, which is referred to as the Flex Credit Allotment in the Business Unit Terms and Conditions.

Additional terms

  • Adjustments: If you believe that a Flex Credit adjustment is required, you must submit a support ticket. Citrix will investigate and determine the appropriate next steps.
  • Suspension: You cannot utilize Flex Credit-based services if you have consumed your total licensed amount, or if your remaining Flex Credit balance is inadequate to cover your desired usage.
  • Expiration: Any Flex Credits that remain unconsumed during the Subscription Term expires on the Term End Date specified on your Order.
