This article lists new and enhanced features for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2607 LTSR. Updates are organized by component.

Citrix Virtual Desktop Assistant

The following updates are added to the Citrix Virtual Desktop Assistant app in the 2607 LTSR release. The sessions can now also be optimized or monitored in the following areas:

Graphics: View current HDX graphics configuration details for the VDA session. For more information, see Graphics page.
Proactive notifications: Receive alerts when session resource usage is high or when your profile storage is nearing capacity. For more information, see Proactive notifications.

PDF printing enhancements

The PDF based universal printer driver now provides a printer driver UI on the VDA that allows users to configure various print settings for auto-created printers. Additionally, print preferences are sent to and honored by the printer without leaving the document behind on the client endpoint. For more information, see PDF printing.

FIDO2 diagnostics tool

A new command-line tool CtxFido2Diagnostics.exe is now available on the VDA to help users and administrators troubleshoot FIDO2 redirection configuration issues. For more information, see FIDO2 diagnostics tool.

HDX connectivity

EDT MTU Rediscovery

A new machine policy setting, MTU Rediscovery, is now available. Use this setting to configure EDT MTU Rediscovery. See Enlightened Data Transport for details.

Microsoft Entra single sign-on

Microsoft Entra single sign-on for Entra hybrid joined session hosts is now generally available.

You can also use the Microsoft Entra single sign-on machine policy setting to enable or disable this capability on your session hosts.

You can enable web-based sign-in to log in or unlock your Entra hybrid joined virtual desktop. See Web sign-in for details.

Published applications

Disconnect session after closing published application

It is now possible to change the application close behavior from logging off the user to disconnecting the session. See Session management configuration for details.

Web Studio

Faster domain selection with search and an exclusion list

Finding Active Directory domains and organizational units (OUs) is now faster in Web Studio. During machine catalog creation, when you select Create new Active Directory accounts, you can search for a specific domain directly from the Location (domain) dropdown instead of browsing the full list of trusted domains.

You can also improve domain lookup performance by adding unreachable or unnecessary domains to a domain exclusion list in Settings > Site settings. Web Studio automatically skips excluded domains during future queries, making the Location (domain) dropdown and other domain lookups more responsive. Flexible billing for Amazon WorkSpaces Core Managed Instances

You can now choose between Monthly (flat-rate) and Hourly (pay-as-you-go) billing models when provisioning Amazon WorkSpaces Core Managed instances using Citrix MCS.

This flexibility allows you to optimize compute costs based on your specific workload requirements and usage patterns.

Use the Monthly billing mode for persistent desktops to benefit from predictable, flat-rate pricing, or use Hourly billing for on-demand or intermittent workloads.

This feature requires your AWS account to be configured for the Amazon WorkSpaces billing service.

Amulet Hotkey CoreStation

Power Management GA for Amulet Hotkey CoreStation HX2000

General availability of power management for Amulet Hotkey CoreStation HX2000. With this feature, Citrix manages your Amulet Hotkey CoreStation workloads through an Amulet Hotkey CoreStation plug-in. With this plug-in, you can create hosting connections to your Amulet Hotkey CoreStation device, create machine catalogs, and power manage machines using PowerShell commands and Studio.
