What’s new in 25.11.0

Seamless integration of deviceTRUST® with Citrix Workspace™ app for iOS

Starting with version 2511, Citrix Workspace app for iOS includes deviceTRUST, enhancing security through continuous device posture checks within the session. deviceTRUST is integrated with Citrix Workspace app for unified deployment. For more information, see deviceTRUST.

Key Details:

  • Integrated Functionality: Starting with release 2511 or later, the deviceTRUST Client Extension is installed by default as part of the Citrix Workspace app for iOS, simplifying deployment and management.
  • Continuous Posture Checks: This feature enhances security by performing continuous checks on the endpoint device’s context and security posture within the session, helping to implement a Zero Trust security model.
  • Compatibility: The integration is supported on iOS 17, 18 & 26 versions.
  • Administration: Administrators can use the deviceTRUST console to configure policies and manage device trust settings. For more information on how to configure, see Getting Started for Local

Enhanced On-Screen Keyboard Experience

Starting with Citrix Workspace app for iOS 2511, Citrix enhanced the touch keyboard experience with improvements to the Automatic keyboard display behavior when connecting to Windows Virtual Desktop Agent (VDA) 2511 desktops.

These enhancements improve usability when interacting with input fields and taskbar elements that appear near the bottom of the desktop session while using the on-screen touch keyboard.

Improved session timeout experience (Technical Preview)

This initiative aims to improve the end-user experience during session timeouts caused by inactivity or network interruptions. Users of both cloud and on-premises stores are provided with an option to reconnect directly from the timeout screen, eliminating the need to relaunch sessions from the client UI.

Key features:

  • The timeout screen displays specific reasons for session timeouts, such as Device went to sleep or Network disruption.
  • Users can seamlessly reconnect to the session, whether it is a new session or a continuation of the previous session, based on administrator configuration.
  • The solution supports reconnection scenarios where auto reconnect might fail, such as network switches (for example, Wi-Fi to LAN).

Note:

This feature is not currently supported for sessions launched from the browser or for stores added as a Web Interface.

For more information on enabling this administrator-controlled feature, see the HDX documentation for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
