What’s new
Citrix Workspace app 2402 CU3 for Windows is the most recent update to the Citrix Workspace app 2402 Long Term Service Release (LTSR).
Note:
The minimum required version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable is 14.42.34433.0 or later for Citrix Workspace app for Windows 2402 LTSR CU3.
The minimum required version of .NET Desktop Runtime is 8.0.11 for Citrix Workspace app for Windows 2402 LTSR CU3.
The minimum required version of Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is 131.0.2903.112 or later for Citrix Workspace app for Windows 2402 LTSR CU3.
Known limitation
- When upgrading to Citrix Workspace app 2402 CU3 in admin mode on a machine with Citrix Workspace app 2402 CU installed in user mode, you might encounter an error message during the cleanup of the older version. Additionally, the Cleanup.exe process might stop responding. However, after the cleanup, the version installed by the admin will function correctly.
Disabling TLS 1.0 or 1.1 communication protocols
Starting with Citrix Workspace app for Windows 2402 LTSR CU3, the use of TLS 1.0 or 1.1 communication protocols is no longer enabled nor supported by default. This change enhances security by removing deprecated and potentially insecure protocols.
Benefits:
- Enhanced Security: Disabling outdated protocols reduces the risk of security vulnerabilities.
- Compliance: Aligns with industry standards and recommendations, such as RFC 8996.
