Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops™ clipboard formats
CFX clipboard formats are customized Citrix Virtual Apps™ and Desktops clipboard formats. These are highly optimized compared to the regular clipboard formats.
| Clipboard Format | Description |
|---|---|
| CFX_RICHTEXT | Used to efficiently transfer formatted text—including different fonts, sizes, colors, and styles like bold or italic |
| CFX_OfficeDrawingShape | Handles Microsoft Office drawing objects. It allows users to copy and paste vector shapes, diagrams, and other graphics created within Office applications (like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) |
| CFX_BIFF8 | This corresponds to the BIFF8 (Binary Interchange File Format 8), which is the native file format for Microsoft Excel 97-2003. CFX_BIFF8 is the Citrix-optimized version for copying and pasting data and formulas between Excel spreadsheets. |
| CFX_FILE* | Used for file object transfers. When you copy a file on your local computer and paste it into a virtual desktop (or vice-versa), this format manages the data transfer. It's an optimized alternative to the standard CF_HDROP format |
Note:
To allow file copy and paste and drag and drop, you must explicitly add CFX_FILE to the allowed formats.
