What's new in 2609

Important note about upgrading to version 2609:
To prevent session recording failures due to incomplete upgrades of Session Recording agents, follow these steps when upgrading to 2609:
  1. Upgrade each Session Recording server to version 2609.
  2. Enable remote access using .NET Remoting with the following command:
<Session Recording server installation path>\Bin\SsRecUtils.exe -EnableBrokerRemoting
  3. Upgrade each Session Recording agent to version 2609.
  4. After all Session Recording agents are upgraded, disable remote access using .NET Remoting with the following command:
<Session Recording server installation path>\Bin\SsRecUtils.exe -DisableBrokerRemoting
Note on Upgrade Impact for the ICLFile Table
As part of the upgrade process, several indexes will be created on the ICLFile table. Depending on the volume of data, this operation may take up to 15 minutes to complete and will require approximately 60% additional storage relative to the current size of the table.
This change does not affect fresh installations.
This release includes the following new features...

Deep inspection in AI-powered insights

Session Recording now supports deep inspection in the security analysis of AI-powered insights. Administrators define behavior indicators — end-user activities such as unauthorized access or unusual file transfers — in a security prompt template, and the AI investigates each recording for those behaviors.
Key capabilities include:
  • Custom behavior indicators: Describe the behaviors to detect in plain language, and the AI generates detection guides that you can review and refine.
  • Incident reporting: Matches appear as incidents in the Deep inspection results section of the security analysis report, each with a clickable timestamp for playback.
  • Confidence tagging: Incidents that are difficult to distinguish from normal activity are tagged Low confidence for manual review.
Deep inspection requires an AI model that supports reasoning.
