Profile Management

Fixed issues in 1912 LTSR CU1

Compared to: Profile Management 1912 LTSR initial release

Profile Management 1912 LTSR CU1 contains all fixes included in the 1912 LTSR initial release, plus the following, new fixes:

  • With Profile Management enabled, when you launch some applications (such as Calculator and Sticky Notes) from the Start menu, they might exit unexpectedly. The issue occurs with VDA Version 1912 running on Microsoft Windows 10. [CVADHELP-13947]

  • After you upgrade a VDA from Version 1808 to Version 1912, Citrix Profile Management might exit unexpectedly with an Event ID 1000. [CVADHELP-14112]

  • With the Logon Exclusion Check policy enabled, Profile Management might fail to synchronize files under an excluded folder. Instead, Profile Management might delete or ignore the files on logon. The issue occurs with files that match paths containing wildcards in the List of Files to synchronize policy. [CVADHELP-14347]

  • Attempts to create a user profile on Microsoft Windows 10 Version 2004 might fail. [CVADHELP-14235]

  • You might encounter the following issues:

    • File Type Association (FTA) roaming fails.
    • Attempts to open Calculator, Sticky Notes, and similar apps from the Start menu might fail.

The issues are fixed in Profile Management 1912 CU1 for new user profiles. For existing profiles created by Profile Management 1912, you must enable the permission inheritance of ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft registry key manually:

    1. Log on to the VDA with the target user account.

    2. Open Registry Editor.

    3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft.

    4. Right-click the Microsoft key, select Permissions -> Advanced, and select Enable inheritance.

    5. Click Apply and then OK.
