Updating the firmware

You can check at any time whether the current software status of a device matches the available IDF on the server, and initiate a firmware update on demand if required.

  1. Check whether the firmware settings of the device configuration are configured correctly. For further information, see Configuring firmware update.

  2. On the system bar, show the Start menu.

  3. Click the Update button.

The device’s firmware is compared to the specified image on the web server. A message informs you if the image on the web server contains updated packages and therefore requires a firmware update.

    Note:

Before starting the update, click Details to view the components that require an update.

  4. To perform the firmware update, click Yes.

The firmware update runs. After the software is installed, the device restarts.
