The following issues have been fixed since Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops™ 7 2402 LTSR CU1:

Cumulative Update 2 (CU2)

Citrix Director

  • You might notice that the UI.TaskManager.EnableApplications option is ignored in the UI, causing the application list to still appear in Director.
  • You might encounter an issue when clicking on UserProfile details and attempting to select text causes the UserProfileBox to disappear, preventing data copying.
  • You might notice that Director no longer displays if HDX™ connection was established using Secure ICA.
  • You might experience occasional SSON failures in a load-balanced Director after upgrading from 2203 CU4 to 2402.
  • In multi-site Director 2402 environments, users may be automatically signed out of the console after 15 minutes of inactivity on the 'Go to Site' page.
  • The links to the machine page on the Filters page in Director are broken in CU1. You must search for the machine manually.
  • In Director CU1, you may see incorrect rows selected after sorting, and sometimes extra records are added when selecting machines or sessions.
  • In Citrix Director 2402 CU1, the Activity Manager may not display the user name, and instead, it shows the user display name.

Citrix Policy

  • You might experience high memory utilization from the CseEngine.exe process, which can cause machine registration issues.
  • You might be unable to edit or create policy after upgrading to 2402 from a previous version. The issue does not happen in a fresh install site.
  • After upgrading Delivery Controllers (DDCs) and databases from 1912 to 2402, policy priorities in Citrix Studio change, affecting all sites.
  • When you install Studio on a Windows 11 Multi-Session machine and open Group Policy Management Console, the following error message is displayed when loading the Citrix Group Policy modules: ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p.

Citrix Studio

  • In On-Prem Web Studio 2402, you cannot use the refresh button while creating or updating a Machine Catalog.
  • You might not be able to log in to WebStudio if the domain has a one-character top-level domain (TLD), causing an "invalid token" error.
  • In CVAD Studio 2402 CU1, you might see an error instead of session details after removing the Delivery Group column from the Session tab.
  • When both the Name and Published Name of a Broker Application are changed, the "Delivered As" field may be blank in App-V application details.
  • Web Studio 2402 CU1 may not display the Delivery Controller™ information for the Registration metric when retrieving data from the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA).

Delivery Controller

  • Session reconnection may fail if non-unique device IDs are reported, causing issues with session behavior and app limits bypassing.
  • You may experience high CPU usage on a large MonitorDB holding data for several months. Adding an index can reduce CPU usage by approximately 10-15%.
  • In On-Prem Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2402, the Citrix Broker Service shows high memory usage, possibly due to a memory leak, requiring Delivery Controller reboots every 3-4 hours.
  • Upgrading a site with multiple Delivery Controller (DDC) instances from 2203 CU6 to 2402 may fail with the error "Cannot communicate with the database. Check that the database is running" when upgrading the first Delivery Controller.

Machine Creation Service

  • You may encounter an intermittent issue with Machine Creation Services™ (MCS) in Citrix 2402, where only half of the machines you attempt to add to an existing catalog are successful. Although the machines appear in Active Directory, only the successful ones are displayed in Studio, and the failed machines do not show up in your Nutanix hypervisor until they are manually imported from Active Directory.
  • In Google Cloud Platform (GCP), image export fails due to a deprecated image for the Daisy virtual machine in 2402.

Metainstaller

  • When upgrading from VDA to 2402, the installation may fail with the error: "Removal of MSI Product 'MultimediaVideoTs_x64.msi' failed with code 'UnknownProduct' (1605).
  • You may experience the error "The credentials you entered are invalid" when joining Call Home during the VDA 2402 installation with the Collect diagnostic information feature enabled.
  • You may experience VDA upgrade failures on some VDAs, with issues occurring during Workspace app installation, especially if the Workspace app is already installed along with the VDA.

Universal Print Server

Printing

  • The Citrix Print Management Service may terminate intermittently, causing redirected printers to stop functioning.
  • Client-mapped printers may disappear after reconnecting if the spooler service was restarted anytime before reconnecting the session.

VDA for single-session OS

Clipboard

  • Copying content using the Copy to text and image option and copying formatted content might fail.

Session/Connection

  • You may experience an issue where logging off a session or terminating a published application window takes 2-3 minutes to clear from the VDA after upgrading to 2203 CU4.
  • Client-mapped printers may disappear after reconnecting if the spooler service was restarted anytime before reconnecting the session.
  • You may experience a crash of the "explorer.exe" process in the Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) when using the shortcut "Windows + Print Screen.
  • You may experience continuous screen flickering in the ICA® session when the Watermark policy is enabled.

System Exceptions

  • After upgrading to CVAD 2203, you may experience an approximate 10-second delay when opening a desktop.
  • You may experience intermittent failures when using drag and drop from the endpoint to published app and desktop.
  • You may experience drag and drop not working consistently on Windows 2019 and newer and Windows 10 and newer when using Citrix Cloud.
  • You may experience issues with session clipboard redirection failing for large images and Excel charts in the VDA, preventing you from copying and pasting these items to the client side.
  • After launching a Published Desktop, you might find the top left portion of the screen unresponsive, where icons are visible but not clickable, unless you select other icons simultaneously to activate the area. This issue occurs when the Drag and Drop is enabled.
  • You might notice audio not working during calls, as the CtxAudio Service crashes randomly while using audio applications like MS Teams.
  • You may experience random USB redirection failures for client users, causing USB devices like Pinpad, TCR, and Printers to disappear during the session.
  • You may experience an issue where the speaker and microphone levels of a USB headset are set to 0 (mute) during connection or reconnection to a VDI session. This issue occurs intermittently, and you can adjust the levels manually.
  • With the VDA 2402 LTSR, window dragging may not work within published applications.

VDA for multi-session OS

Clipboard

  • Copying content using the Copy to text and image option and copying formatted content might fail.

Session/Connection

  • After upgrading to VDA 2402, the first ICA session after a reboot may show a grey screen, which resolves by disconnecting and reconnecting or launching an application session first.
  • You may experience an issue where logging off a session or terminating a published application window takes 2-3 minutes to clear from the VDA after upgrading to 2203 CU4.
  • You may notice an increasing number of Citrix WinFrame Shell items in the other system tray icons list, even though only one battery icon is displayed in the ICA session. This accumulation occurs in the system settings under Personalization > Taskbar > Other System Tray Icons.
  • Client-mapped printers may disappear after reconnecting if the spooler service was restarted anytime before reconnecting the session.
  • You may experience an issue where VDAs randomly become unresponsive and go into an unregistered state, causing users to be kicked out of their ICA sessions.
  • In Citrix, the geolocation of the client is not being redirected to the VDI for TSVDA when ICA session connects, which is critical for certain applications and security functionality. You may need to manually click Refresh on GeoLocSync.exe to get an ICA session to override.
  • You may experience continuous screen flickering in the ICA session when the Watermark policy is enabled.

System Exceptions

  • You may experience an issue where the battery status is not displayed on Windows 11 multi-session VDA, despite the VDA receiving the battery status.
  • You may experience intermittent failures when using drag and drop from the endpoint to published app and desktop.
  • You may experience drag and drop not working consistently on Windows 2019 and newer and Windows 10 and newer when using Citrix Cloud.
  • You may notice that the event "MetaFrame 9006" is logged each time you reconnect when Auto Client Reconnect (ACR) is disabled, creating many unwanted error messages.
  • You may experience issues with session clipboard redirection failing for large images and Excel charts in the VDA, preventing you from copying and pasting these items to the client side.
  • After launching a Published Desktop, you might find the top left portion of the screen unresponsive, where icons are visible but not clickable, unless you select other icons simultaneously to activate the area. This issue occurs when the Drag and Drop is enabled.
  • You may experience a crash in the audio application when roaming, caused by a hang in the icaendpoint.dll module.
  • You may experience an issue where the system tray icon for the published New Teams app doesn't respond to left-clicks when it's running as a seamless application on Windows 2022 OS with VDA 2402 or VDA 2402 CU1. This only happens when the app is minimized; it works fine when you're in a full desktop session.
  • You may experience random USB redirection failures for client users, causing USB devices like Pinpad, TCR, and Printers to disappear during the session.
  • The LastPingTime is not updated in the registry with 2203 CU5, which might cause you to get disconnected.
  • With the VDA 2402 LTSR, window dragging may not work within published applications.
  • A bugcheck 0x50 may occur on wdica32.exe when reading the license state.

Federated Authentication Service

  • You may experience performance issues when generating user certificates within the FAS server.
    To enable the performance improvement, configure the following registry key on the FAS server:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Citrix\Authentication\UserCredentialService
    Name: SignerCaching
    Type: REG_SZ
    Value: on
