The following issues have been fixed since Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops™ 7 2402 LTSR CU2:
Related information
Cumulative Update 3 (CU3)

Citrix Director

  • In Director 2402 LTSR, you cannot set up an SMTP server in the GUI if the password is longer than 50 characters.
  • In Director version 2407 and later, the console does not display in French—even if you set your browser language to fr-CA or fr-FR.
  • You may see "No records to show" instead of disconnected or inactive sessions when clicking the “Show all resources” button in the “Select a session” view in Citrix Director 2402.
  • In Citrix Director, administrators may see an intermittent error when accessing the Machines or Sessions filters. The issue is caused by a failure in the AtomValueUtils.ConvertStringToPrimitive method.

Citrix Policy

  • When you manage group policies using the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), the "VDA upgrade proxy configuration" setting might be unavailable for editing, even after installing CitrixGroupPolicyManagement_x64.msi from version 2411 or earlier.
  • After hibernation, you may notice that the VDA doesn't apply domain-configured GPOs, leading to policy misalignment upon reinitialization.
  • You might experience issues loading policies generated using legacy PowerShell providers in Web Studio.

Citrix Studio

  • When one Delivery Controller™ is shut down in a redundant setup, you may be unable to sign in to Web Studio from the remaining controller. This issue occurs in version 2402 LTSR and displays the message: "Unable to sign in. Please try again later."
  • When creating machine catalog via webstudio, an exception might be raised. The issue is not seen in MMC studio.
  • Active Directory credentials fail in Studio for Web when performing AD-related actions, such as adding users or machines. The same actions work correctly in the full Studio application.

Delivery Controller

  • Monitor Service grooming may fail due to an invalid variable name in the task definition. This issue affects the GroomResourceUtilization task and may impact other grooming tasks as well.
  • The VDA CU upgrade agent becomes unresponsive during the upgrade window. As a result, not all VDAs show "upgrade available," and some fail to install within the scheduled window.
  • After you upgrade the DDC to 2402 CU1, Remote PC sessions might stop working. This issue affects only Remote PC VDAs.
  • When you log into Web Studio with Delivery Groups Administrator and Delivery Groups custom Scope, you may encounter an error when trying to delete a Tag from either a Single-session OS machine or Multi-session machine by selecting Manage Tags.

Machine Creation Service

  • MCS Linux VDA might become unregistered after a certain period of time if it fails to update the machine password.
  • In Google Cloud Platform (GCP), image export fails due to a deprecated image for the Daisy virtual machine in 2402 CU2.
  • You might encounter an error when trying to create a new Hybrid-joined Windows 11 catalog in Web Studio. The process fails at the machine account creation phase with the error: "Set-AcctADAccountUserCert: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
  • Upgrading a Delivery Controller from 2203 CU5 to 2402 CU1 may fail during the automatic site upgrade in Citrix Studio. The Delivery Controller upgrade completes, but the site update does not finish successfully.

Graphics

  • When you use a dual-monitor setup and share a popped-out browser window, the audience can see the parent browser in the background.

Metainstaller

  • The VDA upgrade from 2203 CU3 to CU5 resets all registry settings under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\picadm, including the removal of the DisableFullStreamWrite entry. If you expect these settings to persist, you might need to reapply them after the upgrade.
  • After upgrading to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) 2203 CU5 or 2402, access to the WMI instance Citrix_Client_Enum may fail with a "Provider Load Failure" error.

Universal Print Server

Printing

  • After upgrading from Universal Print Server (UPS) to 2203 LTSR CU5, you might experience long delays when selecting a printer. The printer might stay in the "Connecting to printer" state and take over a minute to become available.

VDA for single-session OS

Session/Connection

  • When you use Windows 11 24H2, the session hangs and displays a black screen during launch.
  • A blue screen error with code PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (0x50) might occur intermittently due to an issue in the picadm.sys module.
  • If you connect to a published desktop with drag-and-drop enabled, then disconnect and reconnect or connect from a different client where drag-and-drop is disabled, drag-and-drop remains enabled until you log off and start a new session.
  • You might experience a delay on the "Logging off" screen when logging off from a Windows 10 session.
  • When you launch a published application, a black box appears next to the application and stays visible until you log off the session.

System Exceptions

  • In previous versions, your device might show a blue screen error because of a new issue with picadm.sys.
  • On VDI 1.0, you might be unable to see incoming video, use self-preview, or share your screen.
  • When you use Citrix Workspace for HTML5, Wfshell.exe might crash after copying and pasting large amounts of data in Excel. This issue does not occur when you use the Citrix Workspace app installed locally.
  • After upgrading to VDA 2402, CPU usage spikes during published app sessions in shared environments.
  • After you install the Windows updates, the mouse cursor moves unpredictably and may jump randomly on single-session VDAs.

VDA for multi-session OS

Clipboard

  • Citrix WinFrame Shell (WFshell.exe) may crash after you copy and paste content in Excel, which breaks the session and prevents you from launching new apps or interacting with published apps. This issue occurs only when using Citrix Workspace for HTML and does not affect the Citrix Workspace App.

Session/Connection

  • You might experience VDA session crash followed by a machine reboot.
  • With VDA 2402 LTSR, you might randomly see "Access is Denied" errors after your session disconnects unexpectedly. When this happens, your session disappears without any warning, and reconnect attempts fail with the same error.
  • A VDA might become unregistered and completely unresponsive. You cannot reconnect to the affected virtual machine until you manually restart it.
  • When you launch a published application, a black box appears next to the application and stays visible until you log off the session.
  • When you launch sessions from Citrix Workspace™ App for Linux, the sessions appear to open but close immediately without showing any error.

Smart Cards

  • After upgrading to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) 2402 CU1, you might sometimes see crashes in the CertPropSvc process. This can cause problems with smart card access.

System Exceptions

  • You might experience random crashes in previous versions of VDAs with the stop code SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x7E).
  • You might see user sessions show as "unknown" and fail to reconnect after upgrading to LVDA 2402CU1.
  • In previous versions, you cannot expand SAP windows horizontally using the mouse on a laptop screen without a secondary monitor.
  • In CVAD previous versions, your device might show a blue screen error because of a new issue with picadm.sys.
  • When you use Citrix Workspace for HTML5, Wfshell.exe might crash after copying and pasting large amounts of data in Excel. This issue does not occur when you use the Citrix Workspace app installed locally.
  • In a multi-session scenario, copy and paste functionality might stop working if you copy more than approximately 2,493 characters.
  • CtxSvcHost.exe might crash during clipboard operations due to an issue in the Clipboard DLL.
  • When multiple LDAP servers are unreachable, VDA registration with the Delivery Controller can fail, and LDAP searches can also encounter issues.
  • The Enable-VDASSL.ps1 script might not work as expected when you enable TLS on the VDA master image.
  • The client's geolocation might not be redirected to the VDI for TSVDA, potentially impacting certain applications and security functionalities.
  • Some published applications may use the VDA system time instead of the local client time if you launch the application before the Citrix policies are fully applied.
  • Screen goes unresponsive if VDA is not in use for 10 to 15 minutes and then need to reconnect/reset the VDA to fix the issue.
  • You might be unable to move and drag seamless App-V applications in previous versions.
  • Host to client URL redirection modifies case-sensitive URL parameters by converting uppercase letters to lowercase, which can cause failures when accessing applications that require specific letter capitalization.
  • Browser Content Redirection will not load the actual redirected page and you will see the BCR background page ("The page was redirected"). Reloading the page does not resolve the issue.
  • After you install the Windows updates, the mouse cursor moves unpredictably and may jump randomly on single-session VDAs.
