Fixed issues in 2203 LTSR Cumulative Update 5 (CU5)

The following issues have been fixed since Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2203 LTSR CU4:

Citrix Director

  • When you use a multi-session or a single-session desktop VDA in Multi Forest Site, the User-centric search feature does not work. [CVADHELP-23174]

Citrix Policy

  • When you install Studio on a Windows 11 Multi-Session machine and open Group Policy Management Console, the following error message is displayed when loading the Citrix Group Policy modules: ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s.

  • Citrix Studio incorrectly displays the delivery group uuid instead of the name in Assigned to in the Policies tab. [CVADHELP-23981]

Citrix Studio

  • The Studio console might freeze when using the Studio as a published application or use it in a published VDA under the ICA session. [CVADHELP-24990]

  • When you add the StoreFront server address through Citrix Studio and assign it to a Delivery Group, the store is set to off by default. [CVADHELP-24862]

Delivery Controller

  • Create\Update machine catalog task fails in Availability Zone B but works fine for Availability Zone A and C because a volume service instance could not be launched in your cloud connection. Run the below command to update the Site Database table to use the new VolumeWorkerTemplate on SQL server. UPDATE HostingUnitServiceSchema.VolumeServiceConfigurationBaseTemplate SET TemplateId = 'ami-09b42976632b27e9b' WHERE RegionName = 'ap-southeast-2'

Note:

Availability Zone may be different for different customers. [CVADHELP-24094]

  • After the hypervisor has rebooted, VMs don’t start up as peak times power management is configured. [CVADHELP-23874]

  • The published resources might fail to enumerate when the password field is empty.[CVADHELP-23948]

Graphics

  • When you are using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203, you might observe a black screen while reconnecting to the disconnected sessions. [CVADHELP-23615]

Linux VDA

Metainstaller

  • When you use a VDA version 2203 CU3 with Windows 10, the VDA installer does not host the custom WCF port if Rendezvous Proxy is configured. [CVADHELP-24199]

  • Attempt to upgrade Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops from version 1912 LTSR to version 2305 or 2203 LTSR might fail with this error message: We have discovered unsupported configuration. [CVADHELP-23760]

Microsoft Teams Optimization

  • Microsoft Teams 2.1 is not optimized by default on the VDA. [CVADHELP-24767]

Monitor

  • Updates on the MonitorData.ResourceUtilization table in the monitoring database are delayed. [CVADHELP-24523]

Universal Print Server

Printing

  • Citrix Universal Print Server might not work as expected when you remove the Everyone group from printer security permissions.[CVADHELP-23653]

  • HP Color LaserJet 2800 Series PS driver installed as described in the Knowledge Center article CTX140208, might be uninstalled during VDA upgrade.[CVADHELP-23628]

  • When you use VDA version 1912 CU5 and OS version 2012 R2, various print jobs are failing from the production Citrix UPS print server with the following error message: CCgpStream::Open: WaitForMultipleObjects time out. InternalUpcRemoteOpenStream: Failed to Open Stream. Abort Job. [CVADHELP-22354]

  • When you use UPS version 2212 or 2305 in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops version 2212 or 2305 with Windows 10 VDA, printers using CUPS display the following message:

    Access Denied, cannot connect message

VDA for single-session OS

Keyboard

  • The Wfshell.exe process might crash when you copy and paste files from a local workstation into the Citrix session for VDA LTSR 2203. [CVADHELP-24146]

  • The copy to clipboard option in the published remote app is not working for CU3 and CU4 versions. [CVADHELP-24687]

Session/Connection

  • The WebSocketService.exe process fails to start after a VDA reboot on the leap day. [CVADHELP-24771]

  • When you use a Windows 10 VDA version 2308, the ctxappvservice.exe process might crash. [CVADHELP-24575]

  • When you use Citrix VDA versions LTSR 1912 CU3 and later, and the system has attached connections and appears more probable with the number of users attached, the Citrix HDX HTML5 Video might crash. [CVADHELP-23917]

  • During an ICA session reconnect, the chat window of a third-party messaging application might automatically appear in the foreground. [CVADHELP-24000]

  • When you use a machine, the user session launch fails intermittently. [CVADHELP-23922]

  • When connecting to a Windows 10 with VDA 2203 CU3 installed from a Windows 10 endpoint with Citrix Workspace App version 2210 or 2303, the session disconnects when you attempt to select a camera in a WebRTC application. [CVADHELP-23626]

  • VDAs might unregister intermittently when IPv6 is enabled.[CVADHELP-14847]

  • Attempt to reconnect to a VDA session on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops version 2203 LTSR CU2 using a smart card might result in a stuck Welcome screen.[CVADHELP-23207]

  • When you launch a virtual desktop (win10 multi-session) and plug in an earphone, there is a significant delay of the UAC sound while you adjust the system audio volume. [CVADHELP-21816]

  • Copying content from a published Microsoft Visio or Visio app on a desktop to an app on the user device might fail. [CVADHELP-23647]

  • The message appearing in the Citrix HDX 3D Pro Warning dialog on a non-English operating system might appear corrupted. [CVADHELP-23710]

  • When you start a session that connects to a VDA that is running version 2203 LTSR CU2 and has Microsoft Defender Application Control installed, a gray screen might appear for a few seconds. [CVADHELP-23477]

  • In remote PC access, some events are logged in the “Citrix-HostCore-ICA Service/Admin”. When the session was disconnected using Ctrl+Alt+Del, Event ID 43 and 46 were logged. In the VDA of the English OS, it worked as expected. In the VDA of Japanese OS the event IDs from 37 to 50 were not logged in the “Citrix-HostCore-ICA Service”. [CVADHELP-23889]

  • Browser service checks if ctxcsb is available in the endpoint, if it is unavailable, honor BCR capability exchange through GVCH and turn off the feature.[CVADHELP-23949]

  • If you sign in with Microsoft Account on Excel or Word and the special folder redirection is enabled, Excel or Word 365 crash on sfrhook.dll after opening and typing in few characters. The issue is not experienced if the special folder redirection is disabled. [CVADHELP-24084]

  • The Terminal Services process might crash after an ACR reconnection. [CVADHELP-24364]

  • When you set Browser content redirection with SFCR mode, the BCR webpage might be unable to load the full page. [CVADHELP-23821]

  • The OpenTEXT ETX application fails to open due to access violation with the following module:

    C:\Program Files\Citrix\HDX\bin\CtxMFPlugin64.dll

  • An application set on the left half of the left monitor incorrectly appears in the center of the screen after you reconnect when you use Virtual Apps and Desktops 2203 LTSR, Citrix Workspace app 2203 LTSR CU3 (2303 or 2205), and VDA 2203 LTSR with Windows 11 22h2. [CVADHELP-23878]

  • If printers or print servers are unreachable, session logon and logoff might take a lot of time to respond. [CVADHELP-23637]

System Exceptions

  • When you use a VDA, you might experience a fatal exception on picadd.sys and display a blue screen with a bug check code 0x96 . This applies to all operating systems. [CVADHELP-24383]

  • When you use a VDA version LTSR 2203 CU 4.1, the VDA might perform a bug check with the message Error "StopCode: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED: Tdica.sys at any time at the beginning or during a session. [CVADHELP-24891]

VDA for multi-session OS

Keyboard/Mouse

  • In Windows Server 2022, if a mouse is moved to a dedicated position by the app or OS, you are unable to move the mouse to the position again until the mouse is moved to another place by the app or OS. [CVADHELP-24444]

  • The copy to clipboard option in the published remote app is not working for CU3 and CU4 versions. [CVADHELP-24687]

Session/Connection

  • The WebSocketService.exe process fails to start after a VDA reboot on the leap day. [CVADHELP-24771]

  • The Warning Idle Time Expired Message dialog box does not appear in the ICA session On 2022 OS VDA though the Session Idle time limit takes effect. [CVADHELP-24646]

  • In the Server 2019 VDA version LTSR 2203 CU3, WmiPrvSE.exe crashes. [CVADHELP-24436]

  • When you use Citrix VDA versions LTSR 1912 CU3 and later, and the system has attached connections and appears more probable with the number of users attached, the Citrix HDX HTML5 Video might crash. [CVADHELP-23917]

  • Some processes of Citrix Workspace app might not close as expected when they run in a published application session. [CVADHELP-24225]

  • The Terminal Services process might crash after an ACR reconnection. [CVADHELP-24364]

  • When you set Browser content redirection with SFCR mode, the BCR webpage might be unable to load the full page. [CVADHELP-23821]

  • The OpenTEXT ETX application fails to open due to access violation with the following module:
