App Builder

App Builder, powered by Citrix Podio, lets you create your own customized apps for your specific business needs. Sign up for App Builder and link your Citrix Podio account to Citrix Cloud to:

  • build powerful low-code solutions,
  • create no-code apps, a structured data repository, in minutes to manage work and communication (see Creating apps to learn how),
  • use Citrix Podio as a system of record to generate notifications and actions (see Integrate Podio with Citrix Workspace Microapps to find out more),
  • manage your Citrix services from one place.

Note

This service is available as a Public Technical Preview and is available to all customers. App Builder is not HIPAA compliant yet, so Citrix recommends using this capability only for customers who are not subject to HIPAA.

Create a Citrix Podio account

If you don’t have a Citrix Podio account, follow these easy steps to create a free Podio account. For more information about available plans and additional functionality, see Pricing. Any future Citrix Cloud orders that include Podio entitlements are automatically applied to this newly created account.

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Citrix Cloud using your Citrix credentials.
  2. From the Citrix Cloud console, under Available Services, select Set up on the App Builder tile.
  3. Select Create new account.

  4. You can change the Organization name if you want, or leave it as your Citrix Cloud account name. Select How many employees are in your organization?.
  5. Select Create account.

  6. Citrix Podio now generates an email is generated from Citrix Podio. Once you receive the email, follow the link and your new Citrix Podio account is ready. The email guides you to set your Podio password and log in to the account you created.
  7. The tile is moved to the My Services section of the Citrix Cloud console. Select Manage on the App Builder tile to open the Manage Podio Account screen and select Launch Podio to get started.

If you already have a Citrix Podio account, you can link it to your Citrix Cloud account. Administrators can link to any Citrix Podio organization that they are an administrator of. Any future Citrix Cloud orders that include Podio entitlements are automatically applied to the linked account.

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Citrix Cloud using your Citrix credentials.
  2. From the Citrix Cloud console, under Available Services, select Set up on the App Builder tile.
  3. Select Link existing Podio account.

  4. Select the Organization Name of the Podio account that you want to link. Any Podio accounts that are already linked to another Citrix Cloud account show on the list grayed out and cannot be selected. Select Link account and confirm.

  5. From here you can select Manage Podio to open the Manage Podio Account screen and select Launch Podio to get started, or you can return to the Citrix Cloud console by selecting Back to home.
  6. The tile is moved to the My Services section of the Citrix Cloud console. Select Manage on the App Builder tile to open the Manage Podio Account screen and select Launch Podio to get started.
