Troubleshooting

If Intelligent Build to Lossless is not available in the session, please check the following requirements:

  1. Make sure that the VDA is running version 2503 or later.

  2. Make sure that a server-side GPU is available in the session. The easiest way to validate this is to use the Graphics Status Indicator and check if the GPU row displays the GPU vendor name, e.g. NVIDIA, Intel or AMD. If no GPU is present and available, the GPU vendor name will show ‘Citrix’:

    Alternatively, you can use Citrix Monitor to view the presence of a server-side GPU for the VDA and troubleshoot GPU utilisation.

  3. Validate that the “Use a video codec for compression” policy is either not set (and using the default value) or is set to ‘Use when preferred’.

You can use the Policy Modelling Wizard to determine if the policy has been correctly applied to the session.
