The following issues have been fixed since Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2507 LTSR CU1 :

Citrix Director

  • When the Citrix Director Shadowing invitation file path is hardcoded to C:\\Users\\Public\\Documents and GPO restrictions block access to this folder on the VDA, Citrix Director Shadowing might fail.
    To set the custom path, create a REG_SZ value named ShadowSessionFilePath under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Citrix\\Director and set it to the desired folder path (for example, C:\\ShadowSessions) on the VDA. [CVADHELP-32927]
  • When network latency exceeds the actual ICA RTT, Citrix Director might display inflated ICA RTT values, causing a discrepancy between the Director UI dashboard and the Monitoring OData database values. [CVADHELP-28599]
  • When the DDC FQDN contains mixed-case characters, Citrix Director might fail to collect infrastructure monitoring metrics from that DDC and display it as disconnected. [CVADHELP-27454]

Citrix Policy

  • After each policy refresh or VDA registration, the Group Policy Client-Side Extension (CseEngine) might add duplicate App-V application entries to the ApplicationStartDetails registry value, causing the list to grow indefinitely. [CVADHELP-32805]
  • When the VDA FQDN query fails during the Group Policy Client-Side Extension (CseEngine) initialization, VDAs might intermittently stop reporting CPU, Memory, and Disk load indexes, causing all sessions to be brokered to a single server. [CVADHELP-28688]
  • When you configure session printers using MMC Citrix Studio, Web Studio might display only one session printer instead of all configured printers. [CVADHELP-32281]

Citrix Studio

  • When you import Active Directory user or machine mappings from a CSV file, the import might fail with a “Usernames not found” error. [CVADHELP-30186]
  • You might not be able to perform actions in Web Studio, such as managing tags, when your Desktop Delivery Controller has SSL binding configured to a specific IP address and the Citrix Orchestration service incorrectly uses the localhost IP address. [CVADHELP-31097]
  • In certain Active Directory environments, you might receive an “invalid token” error when signing in to on-premises Web Studio and cannot access the console. [CVADHELP-31403]

Delivery Controller

  • When you assign app packages containing updated namespaces (such as uap3) to a delivery group in Web Studio, app discovery might fail, preventing the applications from appearing in Web Studio for assignment to delivery groups. [CVADHELP-30250]
  • When a configuration synchronization occurs without significant licensing changes, the High Availability Service might unnecessarily trigger License Activation Service (LAS) requests. [CVADHELP-31584]
  • After you upgrade through VUS, sessions might fail to launch due to a policy evaluation error in CVAD. [CVADHELP-32389]
  • When you install a VDA through the command line using a WebSocket enrollment token, the VDA installation might fail with “Invalid token” errors. [CVADHELP-31168]
  • You might experience a TokenNotFoundException that prevents an application from launching when your device starts the application launch but does not support session sharing. [CVADHELP-31578]
  • The weekly Broker usage telemetry payload might not include the “VDAs.RebootScheduleEnabled” datapoint. [CVADHELP-29635]
  • When you upgrade a Delivery Controller to version 2507, Web Studio might display “Your software maintenance has expired,” and VDA sessions might display “Your corporate Citrix environment is currently unsupported,” even with valid licenses. [CVADHELP-29639]
  • When launching an App-V application for the first time, a timing conflict during package synchronization might prevent the application from launching. [CVADHELP-31381]
  • When users have only dbo permissions, the upgrade might fail. [BRK-25326]
  • When the stored license service connection key becomes invalid, the Configuration Service might silently stop reporting telemetry data. [CVADHELP-33949]
  • In SCCM and MCS environments, a leftover configuration file might not be cleaned up during image preparation, which can lead to machine identity conflicts in provisioned VMs. [CVADHELP-31444]
  • When updating an MCS machine catalog on VMware, the vmx-21 hardware version might cause the PCI slot layout to shift between the MCS master image and the provisioned VDA, resulting in loss of network connectivity on the VDA. [CVADHELP-32936]

Machine Creation Service

  • On Nutanix Prism Central, adding machines to an existing MCS catalog might fail when the environment has more than 500 subnets. [CVADHELP-31937]
  • MCS might incorrectly change the Windows time synchronization type from NT5DS to NTP on domain-joined VMs. [CVADHELP-30209]
  • On Nutanix, MCS-provisioned VMs might not retain the hardware virtualization setting from the master image, preventing Docker from running inside VDIs. [CVADHELP-33531]
  • When an existing VM has a PCI bus-type disk attached, MCS catalog creation on Nutanix might fail to display provisioned VMs. [CVADHELP-33058]
  • Nutanix MCS VDAs might show power status as “Unknown” in Citrix Studio due to an exception in the AHV PC plugin. [CVADHELP-33840]

Graphics

  • With a single monitor, you might see incorrect HDX 3D Pro full-screen warnings when HDX 3D Pro is disabled. [CVADHELP-30880]
  • After you reconnect to a session, your saved virtual display layout might not be applied. [CVADHELP-30818]
  • After you reconnect with multiple monitors, Windows 11 app windows might become hidden. [CVADHELP-30815]
  • When you set Use local time of client to Use client time zone, the watermark time zone might not sync. You might need to disconnect and reconnect the session for the watermark to update. [CVADHELP-29921]
  • Published applications might disappear after disconnecting a secondary monitor during a multi-monitor session. [CVADHELP-32299]

Universal Print Server

Printing

  • When you print PDF documents with Enhanced Metafile (EMF) using Citrix UPD in XenApp or XenDesktop sessions, icons might display incorrect or swapped colors. [CVADHELP-30837]

VDA for single-session OS

Session/Connection

  • Browser Content Redirection might stop working unexpectedly due to an internal service crash. [CVADHELP-31963]
  • When Drag and Drop is enabled on Published Desktops, mouse clicks on a small rectangular area on the left side of the screen might not register correctly. [CVADHELP-31919]
  • When a seamless application takes time to start, its icon might not appear correctly in the taskbar. [CVADHELP-31687]
  • When using UDP audio, you might experience outbound audio drops or hear beeping sounds. [CVADHELP-30820]
  • When you launch Outlook Classic as a seamless application on VDA 2507 LTSR, Outlook toast notifications might not appear upon receiving an email. [CVADHELP-30789]
  • When you launch an application from Citrix StoreFront, the launch might fail and display the following error message: “Cannot Start App: {app name}”. [CVADHELP-30614]
  • When Enhanced Single Sign-On with domain passthrough is enabled in a double-hop environment, published applications might fail to launch. [CVADHELP-30596]
  • When checking a device’s remaining power from within a session, the battery status indicator might not be visible. [CVADHELP-29230]
  • When starting a new session, machines might intermittently hang at the welcome screen. [CVADHELP-28986]
  • Copy and paste functionality between client and VDA might stop working intermittently during a HDX session, requiring a session reconnect to restore. [CVADHELP-29653]
  • A Citrix VDA background service might prevent Windows update from completing its restart, causing Intune-initiated reboots to remain in a pending state. [CVADHELP-32191]
  • When you use multiple parallel HDX sessions, clipboard operations between sessions might intermittently fail. [CVADHELP-31591]
  • Clipboard operations might fail with a memory error when working across multiple concurrent Citrix sessions. [CVADHELP-32418]

System Exceptions

  • After uninstalling VDA 2507 CU1 and rebooting the machine, RDP logon might fail, making the machine inaccessible. [CVADHELP-31644]
  • When using VDA 2203 CU5 on AMD Turin-based hosts, a blue screen might occur during client disconnections. [CVADHELP-29628]
  • Published Internet Explorer might close immediately at launch. [CVADHELP-30680]
  • When a timing conflict occurs between the VDA Upgrade Agent (VUA) and the installer while deleting XenDesktopVDASetup.exe, the VUA might resume an upgrade on a VDA that has already completed its upgrade. [CVADHELP-31718]
  • The Broker service might incorrectly report non-CVAD expired licenses, affecting license reporting accuracy. [CVADHELP-32258]
  • When the Broker service enumerates applications or desktops, it might crash, affecting service availability. [CVADHELP-32259]

VDA for multi-session OS

Session/Connection

  • When Drag and Drop is enabled on Published Desktops, mouse clicks on a small rectangular area on the left side of the screen might not register correctly. [CVADHELP-31919]
  • When a seamless application takes time to start, its icon might not appear correctly in the taskbar. [CVADHELP-31687]
  • The Citrix Audio Redirection Service might stop responding, causing session-level service disruptions until you restart the service. [CVADHELP-31363]
  • After upgrading to the Citrix Workspace app for Windows 2309 and later, virtual apps and desktops might not launch as expected. [CVADHELP-30656]
  • Citrix Audio Redirection might stop working intermittently, requiring a service restart to restore audio functionality. [CVADHELP-30160]
  • In a dual-hop ICA setup with Windows Defender Credential Guard enabled, attempts to launch published applications or desktops might fail. [CVADHELP-30596]
  • When you reconnect to an active session using VDA 2507 or 2603, copy and paste from the VDA to the client might stop working. [CVADHELP-30717]
  • After upgrading the VDA to 2507, a black screen might appear during session startup when connecting via an HDX session. [CVADHELP-29373]
  • If user logon takes longer than expected, HDX Direct might fail to activate for the session in VDA 2402 LTSR and VDA 2507 LTSR CU2 and later. [CVADHELP-31372]
  • When checking a device’s remaining power from within a session, the battery status indicator might not be visible. [CVADHELP-29230]
  • On certain versions of Citrix Workspace app, a black screen might appear when you launch a virtual app or desktop. [CVADHELP-29087]
  • You might experience intermittent Desktop Service re-registrations and reconnect failures. [CVADHELP-28137]
  • When you launch Outlook Classic as a seamless application on VDA 2507 LTSR, Outlook toast notifications might not appear upon receiving an email. [CVADHELP-30789]
  • You might be unable to sign in, and processes might stall, due to issues with the Citrix Audio Redirection service. [CVADHELP-28046]
  • When Local App Access is enabled on Windows Server 2025, an unexpected folder integration prompt might appear at logon after installing Windows security update. [KB5075899], [CVADHELP-31880]
  • In multi-session VDAs, inconsistent microphone audio performance might delay audio capture. [CVADHELP-32611]
  • When the number of MSIX applications on a VDA reaches approximately 250, the Broker’s PrepareSession request might exceed VDA communication limits, causing VDAs to deregister during session launch. [CVADHELP-33466]

System Exceptions

  • The Profile Management service might fail to process logoff operations correctly on multi-session VDAs, leading to profile corruption or settings not being saved. [CVADHELP-30680]
