Release Notes for XenMobile Server 10.16 Rolling Patch 3 Release

What’s new

  • Support for Return to Service for iPhone and iPad

    With the Return to Service feature, MDM server can send an erase command that includes Wi-Fi details and a default MDM enrollment profile to the user device. The device then automatically wipes all user data, connects to the specified Wi-Fi network, and re-enrolls itself back into the MDM server using the provided enrollment profile. For more information, see Security Actions.

    The XenMobile Server now includes a new property, ios.mdm.return.to.service, which enables the Return to Service feature for iPhones and iPads running iOS 17 or later. By default, this property is set to True. For more information, see Server properties.

  • Enforce a minimum OS version in order to complete setup on Automated Enrollment

    With iOS 17, MDMs can now enforce a minimum operating system version required to enroll devices through Automated Device Enrollment. For more information, see Deploy devices through the Apple Deployment Program.

    The XenMobile Server now includes a new property, ios.mdm.minimum_os_version.enrollment, which allows you to enforce a minimum OS version requirement for completing setup during Automated Enrollment on iOS 17 or later. By default, this property is set to True. For more information, see Server properties.

  • Support to access and use the work profile email app from the personal profile

    In the Restrictions device policy, a new setting Access email app from work and personal profiles is added in the Android Enterprise settings. This setting allows you to access and use the work profile email app from your personal profile. For more information, see Restrictions device policy - Android Enterprise settings.

    The XenMobile Server now includes a new property, afw.mailapp.crossworkprofile, which enables the feature that can access and use the work profile email app from the personal profile in the Android Enterprise settings. By default, this property is set to True. For more information, see Server properties.

  • Support new iOS restrictions for iOS 11.x, 12.x, and 13.x versions

    Added new settings in the Restrictions policy for iOS:

    • Allow shared iPad temporary session
    • Allow eSIM modification
    • Allow network drive connections
    • Allow USB device connections
    • Allow Find My Device
    • Allow Find My Friends
    • Allow QuickPath Keyboard
    • Force Wi-Fi on
    • Force authentication before autofill
    • Modify personal Hotspot settings

  • Enhancement for Android Enterprise Managed Configurations policy

    The maximum character length for all the text boxes on the Application management policies page under Managed Configurations policy has been increased to 4096 characters.

Fixed issues

  • The Update option is not available in the Secure Hub store for MAM SDK enabled apps with new version. [CXM-116185]
