To create an iOS Wi-Fi profile

  1. In the Device Manager web console, on the Policies tab under iOS, click Configurations.
  2. In the New Configuration menu, click Profiles and Settings > WiFi .
  3. In the Wi-Fi Configuration creation dialog box, enter an Identifier, which is a unique string that is used to identify the profile in the console. Must be unique and not used for any other iOS policy. You can also enter a Display Name, which is how the policy name will be displayed to the device user. All other fields here settings here are optional, such as adding a description, or setting automatic policy removal.
  4. Next, select the Wi-Fi tab and choose the following options:
    1. Network Type.
    2. Service Set Identifier (SSID).
    3. Hidden Network. Enable this option if the target network is not open or broadcasting.
    4. AutoJoin. Automatically join the configured wireless Network. Available in iOS 5.0 and later.
    5. Security Type. Select a security type and then enter the authentication (password).
  5. Click Create.
