Apple Trackpad support
Gestures using Apple Trackpad are an integral part of the macOS experience, enabling intuitive and efficient interaction with the desktop environment. With CWA Mac 2603 and later, true gesture support is available when connecting to a macOS VDA (2603 and later versions), bringing a native-like trackpad experience into the remote session.
Prerequisites
-
Client: Citrix Workspace App for Mac, version 2603 or later
-
VDA: macOS VDA, version 2603 or later
-
Hardware: Apple trackpad (built-in or Magic Trackpad)
Configuration and Usage
Gesture behavior within the remote session is governed by the “System shortcuts take effect on” setting in the Keyboard configuration UI. This setting controls whether gestures are interpreted by the local device or passed through to the remote session.
To temporarily direct gestures to the local device, hold down the “fn” key while performing the gesture.
Limitations
The following limitations apply in this release:
-
Two-finger tap and swipe - these gestures currently function as mouse operations (right-click and scroll respectively) and are not passed through as gestures to the remote session.
-
Three-finger tap - not supported in this release.
-
Non-Apple trackpads - Gesture passthrough feature has been validated on Apple trackpads (built-in MacBook trackpad or Magic Trackpad) only. Third-party trackpads have not been tested by Citrix and may not function as expected.
