Update eLux 7 images
The firmware update for eLux 7 2605 EAR is carried out as usual via Scout or via the device. The eLux 7 software container required for this must be created via the AllPackages container archive. Please import the AllPackages container archive into ELIAS 18 or use the installation program eLuxContainer.exe contained in the archive for the legacy ELIAS.
Improved certificate verification for firmware updates via HTTPS protocol
Please note that for firmware updates via the HTTPS protocol, the required root/intermediate certificates of a CA (Chain of Trust) must be available on the devices in /setup/cacerts/ in order to be able to perform the required certificate verification. Self-signed certificates can also be used instead of CA certificates.
Disk encryption
Disk encryption is activated by default in eLux 7 and can be deactivated/activated via the encryption FPM of the BaseOS package or via a configuration parameter. For further information, see the relevant product documentation topic.
User rights for new features
Note that new features are enabled for users or administrators unless explicitly stated otherwise. If required, restrict the relevant rights.
Security updates
Further security updates to fix the Intel and AMD processor vulnerabilities are included in the release of eLux 7 2605 EAR. The updates consist of patches for the Linux kernel and processor microcode updates for AMD and Intel chipsets. Unicon strongly recommends that you perform the relevant system updates for your eLux devices. Please note that after updating your devices, appropriate tests in your system environment are necessary to ensure the desired functionality.
Client Hardware Compatibility
See Certified Hardware on myelux.com for the client models supported by this version of eLux 7.
