Log server settings

Configure log server settings, including the server address, port, and logging scope. Monitor uses these settings to connect to the log server and retrieve logs for monitoring and troubleshooting.

To complete this task, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to Web Studio and select Settings in the left pane.
  2. If no log server is configured, click Add in the Log server tile.
  3. On the Log server page, enter Log server address and Port.
  4. To define which VDAs forward logs to the log server, follow these steps:
    1. Select Select delivery groups. By default, All delivery groups is selected, which forwards logs on VDAs in all delivery groups to the log server.
    2. To forward logs only on VDAs in specific delivery groups, select Select specific delivery groups, and then choose the groups you want to include.
  5. Select the zone where the log server resides.
  6. Enter the Authkey generated by the log server. Monitor uses this key to authenticate and retrieve logs from the server.
  7. Click Save to apply the configuration. To update the log server or modify the logging scope, click Edit in the Settings > Log server tile.
