Licensing for Citrix Platform Flex
Citrix Platform Flex is a managed, cloud‑delivered platform designed to provide secure, resilient, and flexible delivery of digital workspaces and platform services across clouds.
Citrix Platform Flex shifts customers away from rigid, infrastructure‑centric deployment models to a persona‑based operating model. Instead of sizing and managing infrastructure manually, customers consume Citrix services that scale based on how work is performed.
At its core, Citrix Platform Flex is built to support:
- Workforce variability (employees, contractors, partners, and temporary users)
- Operational simplicity through Citrix‑managed infrastructure
- Predictable and flexible consumption aligned to real usage
- Enterprise‑grade resiliency and security across regions
Citrix Platform Flex is designed as a multi‑service platform built on Citrix Cloud. Services delivered through the platform share a common operational, security, and economic foundation, allowing customers to adopt additional capabilities over time without re‑architecting their environment. Capabilities
Citrix Platform Flex delivers the following platform‑level capabilities:
- Persona‑based computing: Services are consumed based on worker personas rather than static infrastructure or per‑VM licensing using Citrix Flex Credits. Credits are consumed monthly based on the services provided. This enables right‑sizing of performance, security, and cost for different types of use cases.
- Citrix‑managed infrastructure: Citrix owns and operates the underlying cloud infrastructure, including lifecycle management, patching, and resiliency. Customers focus on applications, policies, and user experience, not infrastructure operations.
- Resiliency: Platform services are designed for high-availability and business continuity, with support for multi‑region deployment patterns and integrated resiliency capabilities.
- Unified control plane: Administration, monitoring, access, and policy are delivered through Citrix Cloud, providing consistent management experience across services.
Available services
Citrix Platform Flex delivers services that map to the platform’s persona and capability model.

- Citrix DaaS Flex: Persona-based virtual app and desktop delivery using Citrix-managed infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. See Citrix DaaS Flex.
Additional platform services might be delivered through Citrix Platform Flex over time, leveraging the same platform foundations for security, operations, and use.
