Standalone Citrix Secure Ticketing Authority (STA) service
The standalone Citrix Secure Ticketing Authority (STA) service enables you to have more control over the delivery of STA tickets in your environment.
The standalone Citrix STA service is installed on every Cloud Connector in a Resource Location by default. This service shifts STA ticketing from the Citrix Cloud ticketing service to the Cloud Connectors and standardizes ticketing operations across both normal and LHC modes. The standalone STA service reduces reliance on cloud services and reduces intermittent LHC events.
Standalone STA service scenarios and configuration requirements
The standalone STA service works in both normal and LHC mode when you are using the following:
- Citrix Workspace with On-premises Gateway: On-prem NetScaler Gateways are configured for HDX proxy on a per-Resource Location basis. All Cloud Connectors in all the Resource Locations for which the NetScaler acts as an HDX proxy must be listed as STA servers in the NetScaler Gateway virtual server. If some STA servers in the Resource Location are missing, launches might fail.
- StoreFront with On-premises Gateway: All Cloud Connectors listed as STA servers on the StoreFront server must be listed as STA servers on the NetScaler Gateway virtual server. If some of the Cloud Connectors listed in StoreFront are not listed on the NetScaler Gateway virtual server, launches might fail.
- StoreFront with Citrix Gateway Service: The list of STA servers included in StoreFront must be included in the list of STA servers included in your NetScaler Gateway virtual server configuration. If STA servers in StoreFront are missing from the NetScaler, launches might fail.
System requirements
You need the following system requirement:
- On-premises StoreFront: Version 2311 or later
