Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops

Minimum supported versions for Always on Tracing (AOT)

This table outlines the minimum supported versions of Citrix components required to enable Always On Tracing (AOT) log collection. Version requirements may vary depending on how users access their resources either through direct access (for example, directly to StoreFront) or through Gateway-based access (Citrix Gateway or Cloud Gateway Services).

Component / Platform Type Minimum Version (Direct Access) Minimum Version (Access via Gateway)
Citrix Workspace App Windows Client 2511.10 and 2507 CU1 or later 2603 and 2507 CU2 or later

*For Citrix DaaS deployments, AOT log collection follows the same process. You must configure the DaaS settings to forward logs to the AOT Log Server. All components deployed within the resource location can forward logs to the Log Server once configured. Citrix DaaS control plane components do not send logs to the customer-managed Log Server; instead, they continue to forward logs to Citrix-managed cloud telemetry (Splunk). This behaviour applies unless those cloud control plane components are replaced or supplemented with customer-managed CVAD components, such as using StoreFront instead of Workspace Platform or Citrix Gateway instead of Cloud Gateway Services, where applicable.
For more details on log availability across different deployment models, see the AOT Logs Availability Across Deployment Scenarios section.

Note:

Direct Access refers to scenarios without Gateway involvement (for example, direct StoreFront access).

Access via Gateway includes Citrix Gateway and Cloud Gateway Services (CGS).

“Coming soon” indicates planned support in upcoming releases.
